The 2022 Hibiki Blossom Harmony is a limited-edition blend made with whiskies finished in Sakura (cherry blossom) casks, an innovation that pays tribute to a traditional Japanese moment of celebration. Hibiki is a harmonious blend of various malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. Constantly pushing the boundaries of what Japanese Whisky can be, the House of Suntory continues to explore and experiment with various wood types. The Sakura cask was one that intrigued Fifth Generation Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo.
Tasting notes
Wafting floral scents, sakura, fragrant olive. Smooth mouthfeel, expanding fragrance, acacia honey, French pear and a refined sweetness suggestive of sakura mochi. Long-lasting rich and brilliant aftertaste.
THE ICONIC HIBIKI
Rooted in the Japanese sense of beauty, the Hibiki bottle features the 24 seasons of Japan as jewel-like facets with a Echizen Washi Paper Label crafted by Eriko Horiki and the Calligraphy by Tansetsu Ogino. Each element of the painstakingly handcrafted label reflects Japanese aesthetic. The neck of the bottle is encircled by a band of deep purple– Japan's noblest color. The Hibiki limited editions always feature the best of Japanese culture and craftsmanship whether it be the Aritayaki, Kutaniyaki, or seasonal motifs.
